When setting a buffet table,you may want to consider the following:
- The buffet table should be adjacent to the kitchen area.This is to allow easy transfer of food to the table.
- You may decide for either the single or double service depending on how many guests you have.
- Movement towards the table should be from the left to the right.
- You should place the various beverages, cutlery and napkins on the table so that guests can access them conveniently. Ensure that you use large napkins in this case. Also, cover the table with a table cloth for better presentation. You may also include a number of decorations to enhance its appeal.
- Present the serving dishes in an orderly fashion.Integrate dishes of different sizes and shapes , or even more so just go for large dinner plates.
- Water glasses should be placed towards the end of the table.
- Once the main meal is served , table should be cleared for dessert. The same principles will apply when serving dessert.
