Do Supplements Work?

In recent previous posts, we briefly tackled the various supplements and their implications. We recognized the essence of only utilizing  them when required. We also determined the repercussions of exceeding their intake.
In this post ,we will want to identify whether supplements do work. Do they meet up to their asserted claims?Are their situations they fail to provide the intended results? These are some of the concerns we’ll uncover in this post.
 
Supplements come in various forms including tablets, capsules or liquids etc. They are generally designated for certain conditions or deficiencies.
Dietary supplements
Dietary supplements are particularly intended to treat deficiencies. For example, you visit a nutritionists clinic and it is discovered that you are calcium deficient after particular assessments. Then  the dietitian prescribes you calcium supplements in required dosages.In such a case, it is likely the supplement will work as it  has been utilized for its targeted use.
Notice that if you were to assume that you’re  calcium deficient when you’re not, and then you prescribe yourself these supplements , you will likely exceed their recommended intake.
After all, it is way easier for you to exceed your nutrient intake through supplement use than through diet alone.
Natural supplements
The same applies for natural supplements that are used to treat various ailments,and for general  health maintenance . Use them because they are required.
If you’re concerned, seek medical advice for proper guidance. Supplements only work effectively when they are used for their purpose.
