What are natural supplements?These are majorly supplements that are obtained from plants, majorly from herbs. They are normally intended for treatment and may have health benefits. Individuals use them for varied reasons including to manage symptoms such as sleeping problems, to treat certain conditions e.g. infections etc.

First of all, probably do more research or seek a physician’s guidance on whether you can use these supplements especially if:

  • You are under medication—to prevent drug-drug interactions. Some of these herbal supplements can interact with certain medications, e.g. those of hypertension leading to decreased efficiency.
  • You may experience allergic reactions towards some ingredients used.

Be aware that not all that is promoted by these supplements is actually accurate. Some are just claims. Moreover, some manufacturers fail to include all the ingredients hence failing to provide a clear representation of the contents included. If you’re perhaps allergic to the unlisted ingredients, this could cause you unwanted effects.
