Children are required to be taken for regular MCH visits just after their born to monitor their health and development. The routine MCH appointments include:
At 2 weeks- Registration, education on exclusive breastfeeding for the women, eye check and immunization for the child.
At 4 weeks- Immunization, education on exclusive breastfeeding for the women, registration continues for those unregistered.
At 8 weeks-Education on breastfeeding continues for the women, and the required immunizations for the child.
At 4months- Immunization for the child.
At 8 months-The child’s growth is monitored, how they play, the required immunizations are administered, weaning is continued.
At 12 months- The child’s teeth development is checked.
At 18 months- The child’s teeth development continues to be monitored and social communication.
At 2 years- A health review is conducted, growth monitoring continues.
At 31/2 years-Growth monitoring continues.
